Abstract

The objective of the study is to evaluate the impact of various factors on consumers’ green consumption intentions in the food sector in Bien Hoa City and to provide managerial implications to encourage green consumption. The study developed a model consisting of three factors that influence green consumption intentions, inheriting on related research on the theory of green consumption intentions: environmental concern, belief in green products, and environmental knowledge. The study utilized survey data from 190 customers in Bien Hoa City. The results indicate that three factors—environmental concern, belief in green products, and environmental knowledge—positively influence consumers' green consumption intentions in the food sector in Bien Hoa City. These findings provide several implications for suppliers and policymakers to enhance consumers' intentions to consume green products and to promote the broader adoption of green products. Improving the effectiveness of green consumption behavior will lay the foundation for increased environmental awareness and social responsibility, ultimately contributing to a sustainable consumer community.
