Improve intellectual property awareness of Lac Hong university lecturers

Abstract

Intellectual property, a powerful tool for economic development and national prosperity, plays an important role in the sustainable development of universities. Intellectual property has a close relationship with innovation and creativity. Lecturers are participants in intellectual property activities and are also qualified to create intellectual property for the university. In a series of research activities looking for a model of intellectual property management at Lac Hong University, the this research is conducted  to firstly evaluate the current status of "Intellectual property awareness" of lecturers, responsible for scientific research at Lac Hong University. The researcher then proposes to the University to establish an in-depth research group on intellectual property to conduct in-depth interviews with relevant subjects. In this study, the researcher employs qualitative, quantitative, and analytical  methods to evaluate lecturers' understanding of intellectual property, there by proposes solutions to raise awareness on intellectual property for lecturers, while contributing to increasing intellectual property for Lac Hong University.
