Abstract

This article presents the results of research into the design and manufacture of an automatic guided vehicle (AGV) with the ability to carry large loads of up to 300kg. It is designed to serve a number of large cargo transport tasks with two independent conveyors placed directly above. The model is named G2J with a length of 1800mm and a width of 1200mm. Mechanical structures are basically analyzed for stress and deformation based on information about loads and material properties of the system. G2J is designed with four drive wheels and is controlled by magnetic line tracking with a line detection sensor system, magnetic card reader and warning system. G2J can receive remote control commands via PLC processor and wireless communication. The system can be stored for 30 different movement scenarios in the production area. Lidar sensors identify objects in the scanning area and collision sensors help G2J receive early warnings and increase its safety level during movement. The information display block meets the ability to monitor and evaluate the operating status of the entire system when performing functions. The first version of the G2J system has been manufactured in practice and initially meets the design requirements. Some issues of precise control and evaluation of system motion according to programmed orbits will continue to be completed in the near future.
